Big Labor's Investment in Obama Pays Off
"We spent a fortune to elect Barack Obama -- $60.7 million to be exact -- and we're proud of it," boasted Andy Stern, president of the Service Employees International Union, to the Las Vegas Sun this week. The behemoth labor organization's leadership is getting its money's worth. Whether rank-and-file workers and ordinary taxpayers are profiting from this ultimate campaign pay-for-play scheme is another matter entirely. The two-million-member union, which represents both government and private service employees, proudly claimed that its workers "knocked on 1.87 million doors, made 4.4 million phone calls … and sent more than 2.5 million pieces of mail in support of Obama." It dispatched SEIU leaders to seven states in the final weekend before the election to get out the vote for Obama and other Democrats. |
President Obama is coming to Albuquerque May 14th!
Our record turn out on April 15th of 7,000 to 10,000 people did not go un-noticed. We eagerly anticipate the President’s visit on Thursday, May 14th and his speech on credit card responsibility. We are planning a “sizzling” welcome, so start making those homemade signs, get your flags ready, start spreading the word as quickly as possible to everyone around the state, and “yes” get ready to wave those tea bags. Wear a red or white t-shirt, so we can stand united! Details of the president’s visit have not yet been released, however we will post them on our website and send out an email blast as soon as we get them. Please make sure that you are subscribed to our newsletter so that we can let you know where the demonstration line will begin. We will not miss this golden opportunity to voice our grievances to our president. |

The Story of Lies: Greenpeace in Your Kid’s School
“And many children who watch it take it to heart: riding in the car one day with his parents in Tacoma, Wash., Rafael de la Torre Batker, 9, was worried about whether it would be bad for the planet if he got a new set of Legos.”

Attorney Jailed In Attempt to Disqualify L.A. Judge for Taking Bribes
The Full Disclosure Network recently attended a Los Angeles Superior Court Contempt hearing in Judge David Yaffe's courtroom, where he sentenced prominent anti-trust attorney Richard I. Fine to “coercive confinement”; in other words, Fine was sentenced to county jail indefinitely until such time as he provides to the Judge his personal financial information. As of today, Mr. Fine has been in solitary confinement for over two months. Judge Yaffe's actions came after attorney Fine pointed out that the Judge had taken illegal money from an interested party in the case. Writ of Habeas Corpus The fact that the Judge insisted on hearing the matter, which involved the County of Los Angeles, was challenged by Fine in a Writ of Habeas Corpus filed with the California Supreme Court just moments before the hearing. Fine pleaded unsuccessfully to the Judge to delay sentencing until both the State and Federal courts had an opportunity to consider his requests for re-hearing. |

Black conservative urges you not to give up
I need you to stand with me and the Our Country Deserves Better Committee if you believe in conservatism, smaller government, greater freedom & liberty and the values that have made America great. I've been reading a lot lately from the "experts" who say that conservatives need to change who we are and what we believe in, if we want to have a relevant voice in America's future. The argument by these same folks is that the Republican Party also needs to become more like the Democrat Party. To these people Arlen Specter and Jim Jeffords represented the best in American ideals and governance. I say to those people, "No Way!" I'm sorry, but those who would forsake their own beliefs in exchange for the gratification of electoral victory or media adulation are rather heartless, souless creatures in my book. |
